One of my favorite descriptions of a Wine & Whiskey CLE tasting came from guests: “It’s like a bourbon trail experience at home.”
That captures what I want every tasting to offer—stories behind the bottles, a better understanding of whiskey and the chance to learn something about your own palate, all while enjoying an evening together.
My updated tasting menu brings that experience into focus with flights built around questions bourbon drinkers actually ask.
What flavors do I enjoy?Find Your Bourbon Flavor Profile explores sweet, spicy, fruity and oak-rich styles, helping you recognize what makes a bottle your favorite.
What does the barrel contribute?What the Barrel Adds compares toasted oak, double-barreled whiskey and wine or spirit cask finishes to show how those choices influence flavor.
Does higher proof mean a better experience?Proof: Flavor, Heat & Your Sweet Spot explores proof alongside age and barrel treatment, helping you find the balance you enjoy.
What do the words on the label mean?Single Barrel, Small Batch & Bottled-in-Bond puts familiar terms into context through a guided tasting.
Other options compare wheated and high-rye bourbons, trace milestones in bourbon history or explore familiar bottles from the Sazerac family. For guests who want to challenge their assumptions, the blind tasting keeps labels hidden until everyone has compared impressions and chosen favorites.

Plan Your Tasting
Private home tastings are $40 per person, including glassware, tasting notes, a cocktail and a guided presentation led by certified whiskey instructor Samantha Mercado.
The host supplies the bottles and food. Bottle budgets shown on the menu are estimates for the entire group, separate from the per-person tasting fee. Final selections are confirmed together based on availability, preferences and budget.
Corporate and country club events are quoted separately.
